Our Story: Two Brothers, One Big Mission

Welcome to Barkitude By Benny.

Our story didn’t start in a boardroom; it started on the living room rug with two rescue brothers who couldn't be more different, yet couldn't live without each other.

I’m Nicole, the founder of Barkitude By Benny, and these are my boys: Benny, a spunky Chiweenie with a massive heart, and Hunter, a beautiful, energetic Lab/Catahoula mix.

The Tale of Two Brothers

When we first brought Hunter home, we were told he was eight weeks old. A few months later, we discovered a heartbreaking truth: he had been separated from his mother at just five weeks. He was tiny, vulnerable, and needed a guide.

Step in, Benny.

Benny immediately took his new little brother under his wing, teaching him how to navigate the world and how to live the absolute best dog life. Fast forward to today, and Hunter completely towers over Benny—but the bond hasn't changed. Now, the big brother makes sure his little brother is always looked after. They are a team, through and through.

Turning Adversity into Expertise

Just two weeks before his first birthday, disaster struck. Hunter tore both of his ACLs. As a naturally high-energy breed, being sidelined was devastating for him.

Faced with the challenge of keeping a vibrant, energetic dog mentally stimulated and at a strict, healthy weight during recovery, I went looking for answers. I wanted premium accessories that could support his needs and clean, healthy treats that wouldn't compromise his weight management.
